The Champion Multi-Claw Oil Free vacuum pumps and compressors utilize a highly evolved, optimized claw design for dry, frictionless compression – efficiently and economically. Since there is no contact or friction within the pumping chamber, no oil or lubrication is required, and pumps continue running reliably for years with infrequent and simple maintenance. The Champion Multi-Claw vacuum pumps and compressors utilize internal compression, so they are extremely efficient. The Champion Multi-Claw pumps use a matched pair of ductile iron claws, which rotate within a cast iron pumping chamber. No valves are required, since the claws themselves cover inlet and discharge ports as they rotate. The Champion Multi-Claw vacuum pump uses two non contacting claw rotors, which operate without friction or lubrication. Multi-Claws are synchronized by heavy
duty precision timing gears and are separated from the pumping chamber by special seals. If desired, seals can be pressurized by adding a sealing gas. A gas-tight, shock resistant version is also available. No inlet or discharge valves are required, which further enhances dependability.
