The standard U-RAI series blowers features universal detachable rugged steal mounting feet to permit easy in-field adaptation to either vertical or horizontal installation requirements and any of four drive shaft position--top, bottom, right or left hand. All frame sizes are center timed to allow for rotation in either direction.

Universal RAI-J WHISPAIR Air Units

ROOTS refined the standard U-RAI line using computer aided design techniques to incorporate the ROOTS exclusive WHISPAIR jet. The WHISPAIR jet uses shock suppression techniques for noise and pulsation reduction. This exclusive WHISPAIR feature can reduce noise 3-5 dB on typical installations. Like the standard U-RAI blower, the U-RAI-J features universal detachable rugged steel mounting feet to permit easy in-field adaptation.

Universal RAI-DSL Blowers

The Universal RAI DSL (URAI DSL) blower features splash oil lubrication on both the gear end AND drive end. The drive end has two shaft-mounted oil slingers and the gear end has ROOTS’ exclusive “figure-eight” gearbox design that improves oil distribution to maximize gear and bearing life. Sight glasses (3/8”) are provided for accurate oil level confirmation. After testing, the unit is sprayed with a protective paint, and boxed or skid mounted for delivery. Available accessories include driver, relief valve, inlet and discharge silencers, inlet filter, check valve, extended base, v-belt or flexible coupling and drive guards.

Universal RAI-G Blowers
Frames 32GJ thru 615GJ

The Universal RAI-G® features splash oil lube on the gear end and grease lube on the drive end. ROOT’s exclusive “figure-eight” gearbox design improves oil distribution to maximize gear and bearing life. Each unity is mechanically tested and given a 15 psig static leak test. A 1/8” NPT purge port is provided at each seal for buffer gas application as required. After testing, the unit is sprayed with a protective paint, and boxed or skid mounted for delivery.

The Universal RAI-J® Dual Splash Lubricated design incorporates dual splash lubrication to the gear AND drive ends. ROOTS’ exclusive “figure-eight” gearbox design improves oil distribution to maximize bearing and gear life. Sight glasses (3/8”) are provided for accurate oil level confirmation.
