History

The award winning Detroit Air Compressor Company was founded in 1927 by Maurice (Frank) and Dora L. Bornor.  The original plant was on Baltimore Street in Detroit, MI and in the late 1960's, the operation was moved to our current location in Ferndale, MI.  Detroit Air Compressor has maintained a reputation of excellence throughout its long history. 

Our customers rely on our experience providing air compressors in a multitude of industries. We are very proud to serve thousands of customers, many who have been doing business with us for a great many years.
